When you’re choosing a professional, you deserve to know who they are.

I’m a community builder, a fierce ally, and a lover of this broken and beautiful world we live in.
I have a child who teaches me how to be brave—and how to be joyful—every single day. Now more than ever, we need each other; we need community and connection and the willingness to keep putting one foot in front of the other. We need to, as Anaïs Nin so beautifully said, live out the confusions until they become clear.

If you're looking for support that honors both your complexity and your capacity, you're in the right place.
Whether you’re seeking therapy, coaching, or simply a place to feel a little less alone, I’m honored to support you. I’m committed to providing a variety of services and options for connection and support—my free newsletter is a great place to start.

I was born and raised in a small town in Alabama.
There are ways the Deep South grabbed hold of me that I love, and other ways I’ve worked hard to consciously leave behind.
I credit growing up in rural Alabama with my love of the outdoors, my appreciation for quiet and solitude, my need to assign everyone terms of endearment, and my addiction to casseroles.
We didn’t have much money and college wasn’t really a thing—but I accidentally got a full scholarship to a small university two hours away, and thus began my exposure to a life outside of the town I’d lived in my entire life.

I’ve made Western North Carolina my home for over 20 years now, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
This is where I grew myself up—made my biggest mistakes and hardest repairs, owned my deepest truths, and created the life and family that I had always longed for.
I know what it’s like to financially struggle and dig myself out of debt again and again. I’ve healed—and continue to heal—from significant trauma and grief. There’s nothing I’ll ask you to do that I haven’t done or that I’m not willing to do to save my own life, to breathe a little easier.

Be nobody’s darling;
Be an outcast.
Take the contradictions
Of your life
And wrap around
You like a shawl,
To parry stones
To keep you warm.
— Alice Walker

Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner

Somatic Experiencing® is a body-based approach to healing trauma and stress. Instead of focusing just on talking about what happened, it helps people tune into their physical sensations—like tightness, heat, or shakiness—because trauma often gets “stuck” in the body. By gently guiding attention to these sensations, Somatic Experiencing supports the body in completing the natural processes it couldn’t finish during the overwhelming event, which helps release stored stress and restore a sense of safety and balance.
